Personality: Yoshirou is a natural born leader, although he will never act on those qualities. Yoshirou is kind, dedicated, loyal, caring, and pretty much every nice, redeeming quality in the book. However, in the face of evil, he won't hesitate to kill.
He enjoys miso soup and soba noodles and is a very stalwart when it comes to drinking. He never does though because he can't afford that much sake.
Appearance:
Yoshiro's physical appearance is one of an athletic young man. He is toned just enough for it to look good yet not too muscular so that he looks like a body builder. Despite his young appearance, Yoshirou's hair is a shining dark gray that goes no further than his ears. His eyes are a mix of gold, light brown, and green, and he always has a peacefully happy look on his face.
For clothes, Yoshirou wears the basic shinigami uniform with the exception of his white sash being black. He also has a dragon tattoo on his right upper arm and a gold stud in his left ear.
Zanpakutô Spirit: Takeshi Ryuunosuke ( Military Dragon of Nobility)
Takeshi Ryuunosuke takes the form of a large quadrupedal dragon with shimmering silver scales. He has large glowing gold, pupiless eyes with claws and teeth of the same color. He is very wise and can be kind to those who earn his respect. He has a booming low voice that commands much respect. These qualities are those of a leader, qualities that Yoshirou shares yet doesn't show.
Sealed Zanpakutô : In it's sealed form, Takeshi Ryuunosuke is a very beautiful and ornate sword. Unlike virtually every other zanpakutou, Takeshi Ryuunosuke resembles a European longsword. The crossgaurd is a magnificent gleaming silver with elegant gold markings on it.
The handle looks as if it is made of solid silver and with several gold cords winding down it. The blade is slightly wider than most longswords and is a brilliant silver, the bladed edges being gold. The sheath is the same magnificent silver as the majority of the sword but with a gold dragon design running the length of it.
Shikai Description: In it's shikai form, Takeshi Ryuunosuke becomes a much larger and much wider version of it's sealed form. It's destructive capabilities increase 100 fold and when pointed at an opponent, can throw a devastating bolt of brilliant swirling gold and silver lightning at them. Unlike normal lightning, a bolt from Takeshi Ryuunosuke can travel through almost anything with ease to strike an opponent. When it makes contact, it not only electrocutes them, but leaves a lasting agonizing pain that takes at the minimum, a half hour to wear off. Everytime a bolt is shot, the sword seems to release a terrifying roar like that of a dragon.
Takeshi Ryuunosuke has two attacks, the first being the single lightning bolt which is good against a single person or a small group, the second works better for larger groups. All Yoshirou has to do is point his zanpakutou at the sky and instantly a large ominous black cloud that rains radiant golden bolts of lightning down on Yoshirou's opponents within a large radius around Yoshirou. These bolts are slightly weaker than the single varient and also have a slight weakening effect on the victims in addition to the damage that leaves them physically drained and tired after the attack.
Release: Gleam! (sorry...couldn't find the japanese word for it.)
Bankai: Upon activating his bankai, Yoshirou's zanpakutou resumes its sealed look. Yoshirou then sheathes his sword and as if the heavens have collided with earth, a massive blinding light appears out of nowhere and takes the form of a giant 30 foot dragon made of what seems to be brilliant gold and silver light energy. This dragon looks exactly like Takeshi Ryuunosuke's spirit form but is harder to make out the details. When the light dragon appears, anyone looking at it from the start is temporarily blinded for a few seconds. With a mighty roar, the dragon shoots an extremely large and terrifyingly powerful bolt of magnificent silver and gold lightning that is 100 times stronger than the shikai version. This lightning bolt can travel succesfully and easily through anything, wether it be plastic, rock, water, or anything else....except for wood...wood explodes.
In addition to this destructive bolt of death, anyone that can see the bolt being shot suffers from extreme fear and will cower in the corner if their spirit energy is low enough. The fear effect only works on those the user sees as enemies however.
Yoshirou has only just achieved bankai and has no intention of telling anyone, atleast not yet.
History/Background: Yoshirou Yui was born into a low ranking noble family in the 1st rukongai district. Despite being a noble, Yoshirou never showed any signs of arrogance and for that was loved by his friends. Even though he never took charge in anything he did with his friends, they still looked to him for advice for he was far wiser than his years. Upon entering the shinigami academy, he was accepted into the advanced class and was exceptional in all of his subjects. Before his last year at the academy, he was offered an officer position in the 5th division but chose to refuse the offer. He then finished at the academy in the top two of his class.
After graduating from the academy, Yoshirou, not wanting to draw attention to himself, became the 18 seat officer in the 7th division, but later transfered to the 6th division as the 16th seat officer. Despite everyone's dissapointment at his rather low status in the Gotei 13, Yoshirou was quite content with it. He never really thought it prudent to rise in rank because it just wasn't really neccissary. Not until the betrayel of squad captains ichimaru, aizen, and tosen, has Yoshirou given the thought of increasing rank any time to think about. Maybe now is the time to make something of himself, after all, he didn't do all that secret training for nothing.
